Omega Race (Midway) PCB repairs

02/29/2000

Tools: chip puller :-)

Problem: High constant blaring pitch for sound.

The self-test showed "RAM 3 BAD", the manual told me that it could be 3 different RAM chips. Swapping in a known good chip into each location pin-pointed the RAM chip at location 3C as bad.

Solutions: Replacing bad RAM chip at location 3C fixed the sound
